Auto Filter for refining operations
PURPOSE
The SUGAREQUIP Auto Filter has been especially designed for refining operations where it has many applications.
It is used as a pre-filter before char or granular carbon; for filtering liquors that have been treated with powdered activated carbon ; for carbonated liquors, sulphited liquors and as a polishing filter.
Its main advantages are :
- The leaves rotate so the cake that is formed is of uniform thickness. A uniform cake means a minimum amount of sweet water, resulting in lower sucrose losses and higher sugar recovery.
- Is ideally designed for semi or full automation.
- Filtration, extraction and cake washing can be carried out in the same unit without the necessity of stopping or opening the Filter.
- The only time the Filter is opened is for changing the filter cloths and very rarely for changing filter leaves.
